Plastering

Preston’s College are able to offer plastering courses for adults at level 1, level 2 and level 3.

The level 1 course provides a fantastic introduction to the subject and is ideal for those considering a career in the sector, as well as those keen to develop basic skills for DIY and home improvement purposes.

Under the guidance of our industry experienced tutors you will develop the key practical techniques and knowledge in a range of skills, including basic hand skills, plastering techniques, rendering, skimming, fixing plasterboard, applying undercoat plasters and much more! Upon successful completion, you will have the opportunity to progress onto level 2.

As part of the level 2 programme you take your skills further, studying additional techniques in external rendering, floating and skimming, dry lining, producing fibrous plasterwork, fixing fibrous plasterwork and floor screeds.

Level 3 opportunities are available to those working in industry, by way of the Plastering NVQ Diploma, which could be free if you don’t already hold a level 3 qualification (or higher), are aged 24+ and live in Lancashire!
