INDUSTRIAL CONSTRUCTION OPERATIVE

As we are main contractors for most of the work we carry out, we have a large amount of different tasks to carry out each day, varying job by job. Our main work is industrial cladding and general maintenance of industrial buildings. This includes duties such as: cutting and fitting of different types of steel cladding panels on roofs, soffits and side walls, use of fixing equipment, use of different hand tools, measuring and marking out, plant operation.


We also carry out groundwork tasks such as excavation, foundations, concrete paving, drainage, fencing.


The apprentice will be under the supervision of a site foreman or manager who would delegate site specific tasks, which would be monitored at all times.

WORKING HOURS PER WEEK

40 Hours, 8 Hours a day, 1 way travel. 1 hour break, + extra hours

REQUIRED SKILLS

Specific skills can be taught on site. However, knowledge on how to use hand tools, basic knowledge on most equipment, driving licence.

REQUIRED QUALITIES

Team worker, friendly, adaptable, excellent communicator, high intuition, hard worker, physically fit.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

GCSE grade 4/C or above in Maths and English
