Key Responsibilities:
Sample Preparation: Assist in collecting, preparing, and organizing pavement material samples (e.g., asphalt, concrete) for laboratory testing.
Testing Procedures: Support laboratory staff in conducting pavement-related tests, such as density, strength, moisture content.
Data Recording and Analysis: Accurately record test results, observations, and data into laboratory information systems, ensuring data quality and compliance with laboratory protocols.
Equipment Maintenance: Clean, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment used for pavement testing (e.g., sieves, compression machines, ovens).
Quality Control: Participate in quality control procedures to ensure accurate and consistent test results, including helping with calibration and validation of equipment.
Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a safe working environment.
Training Participation: Engage in training programs to learn specific pavement testing methods, safety standards, and equipment usage.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to work in laboratory environments, which may involve exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather conditions.
