YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Working in an administrative role in a fast-paced environment at times
• Ability to plan/schedule Drivers and vehicles efficiently and effectively to support the Transport Manager
• Geographical knowledge would be an advantage or willingness to learn on the job
• Ability to handle a high volume of telephone calls
• Checking lorry movements via a tracking system
• Liaising with drivers & customers
• Downloading Tachograph information
• Speaking with customers re arrival times
• Driving licence checks
• Record keeping, filing and maintaining vehicle files
• Assisting with audit preparation such as FORS
• Helping to ensure that we comply with DVSA/DVLA licence regulations at all time
• Helping to ensure that we comply with DVSA/DVLA licence regulations at all times
40 hours per week
• General administration skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
• Have good communication skills and show attention to detail
• Good organisation skills
• Computer literate (ability to use Microsoft Excel/ Word is essential)
• Team player
• Ability to work under pressure
• Comfortable working on own initiative
• Ability to organise and prioritise work
• Attention to detail.
Maths and English at grade c/4 or above is preferable
