NFM Iddon are seeking an apprentice machinist to operate lathes, milling surface/cylindrical grinder machines both Manual and CNC.
You will be shadowing highly skilled individuals to obtain a high skill set to be able to operate all types of machines.
You will be a motivated individual with the drive to achieve under pressure once trained. Your daily tasks will be to report to the shop floor supervisor and to perform tasks as requested to meet production demands.
Tasks will include cutting bars from stock, ,measuring, operating the machines with supervision and much more.

WORKING HOURS PER WEEK
8am -4pm with 30 min lunch. Friday early finish
REQUIRED SKILLS
Be able to read engineering drawings.
REQUIRED QUALITIES
Hard working individual who can work confidently within a team.
Work using own initiative once trained.
Confident to ask questions whilst learning skills and making notes.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferably English and Maths GCSE grade 4 or above (Engineering GCSE would be beneficial).
Background of engineering or practical skills.
