The post-holder will be responsible for providing a comprehensive effective and efficient administrative support to the Partners and other Practice members. During holidays and sickness, the post-holder may be required to work additional hours to ensure adequate staffing levels.

1. Provide administrative support to the Practice team, typing, work processing and clerical work (including the preparation of documents and responses for signature)
2. Produce and circulate documentation for meetings as required and minute as required
3. Complete relevant audits, as directed by the Practice Management Team to support the development and evaluation of working processes to aid Practice improvement.
4. Assist with the development of work systems within the practice team to improve organisation efficiency
5. Maintain the practice stationery and consumables stock; inform Practice Management Team of shortages to reorder as necessary ensuring cost efficiency and value for money
6. Undertake any other administrative and clerical duties commensurate with qualifications and experience
7. Co-ordination and support to internal and external training events
8. Respond to all queries and requests for assistance from patients and other visitors
9. Keep admin and clinical areas neat and tidy and ready for use
10. Scan non-clinical and clinical correspondence in line with current scanning procedures
11. Assist the Practice Management Team in the ongoing development of recall systems for patients in line with the quality and outcome framework (QOF) and the local quality contract. Take a proactive approach to ensuring Patients are booked in appropriately.
12. To deal with and ensure appropriate actions are undertaken with mail from outside/ inside the organisation in a timely manner.
13. develop health promotion calendar in line with national diary for patient information ensuring the websites and noticeboards and any other forms of patient communication channels are updated accordingly.
14. Develop robust channels of communication for patients and visitors including website, text messaging, patient leaflets and noticeboards
15. Utilise the appointment system to book patient appointments via telephone, digital and face to face means, in line with practice procedures and signposting protocols.

37.5 hours 9.00 am to 5.00 pm with 30 minute unpaid lunch
