This role will join our engineering team to ensure our equipment is maintained for efficiency as well as reacting to breakdowns to ensure our machinery runs to fulfil orders. The engineering apprentice role will assist the shift maintenance engineers with breakdowns, planned maintenance as instructed documenting all supervised works for their portfolio. The apprentice will carry out projects as instructed and to the apprentice plan. It is important that they carry out all works within guidelines of competence and adhering to health and safety policy at all times.
Key responsibilities will include –
• Ensure all engineering work is completed to the agreed standards.
• All maintenance work to be completed to the highest standard with the emphasis on a lasting solution.
• Ensure that the right first time approach is the key principle throughout all work undertaken within the role.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety, company policies and procedures.
• Ensure business priorities are met by building strong working relationships with Production, Technical, Quality and Hygiene teams.
• Follow good manufacturing practice at all times ensuring standards are maintained and improved.
• To maintain an up to date engineering portfolio.
• Ensuring all assessments are completed on time and in full.
• Assists the engineering team to ensure downtime on equipment is kept to a minimum
• Assist with PPM completion
WORKING HOURS PER WEEK
37.5 hrs per week. 8am - 4pm, with 30 mins unpaid lunch
REQUIRED SKILLS
Driving licence and own transport would be idea due to location of site
