This role would suit anyone wishing to take their first steps into the business industry.
Customers will call asking for prices on ships from across the world,. The successful candidates will need to go to our suppliers and get the best price and then going to the customer and booking. The candidates will watch the shipment, ensure the whole shipment from collection to delivery is smooth and bill out customers. There is a lot more details e.g customs clearance, what we can and cant ship, keeping customer and supplier relationship, air and sea freight very different so the candidate will be touching both.
CML are looking for appretnices who are hard working and keen to learn. Freight is an amazing industry, but it is also very challenging.
DUTIES
Dealing with customer enquiries via calls/emails
Dealing with suppliers via calls/emails
Using computer systems to process/book shipments and deliveries
Oversee shipments to ensure the whole process from collection to delivery is smooth and bill out customers.
Facilitate customs clearances
Build and foster relationships with customers and suppliers
There may be other administrative duties required as part of the role
