There are a number of different settings and roles that you could be working in to support individuals to live a comfortable, healthy and fulfilling life.
As a Senior Care Worker you would liaise with other professionals to develop and implement care plans for your service users. You would also oversee and monitor other members of staff, respond to emergencies and provide guidance and support.
Health Improvement Practitioners help people to make lifestyle and behaviour changes to improve their health and wellbeing and their control over it.
Rehabilitation Support Workers help people to live independently, often following an illness or accident. For this it is useful to have some experience working in care or with vulnerable adults.
Qualifications in Health can be extremely useful to aid workers who help people in overseas countries affected by man-made and natural disasters like wars, outbreaks of disease and earthquakes.
