These instructions are intended to help you make an online bursary application. Please read all the instructions before starting your application and make sure you have your supporting documents available.
Enter your details and set a password (this should be eight or more characters long).
Choose to either verify your account by SMS or email.
You will receive a 6 digit code by SMS or a link by email to activate your account.
SMS activation – Activate your account clicking the link in your message and entering your activation code in the box on screen. You will then be taken back to the previous page.
Email activation – Activate your account by clicking the link in your email (remember to check your junk folder).
Login using your student ID number, your date of birth and password.
Step 2 – Completing Your Application
To start your application, click on ‘Bursary’ and then ‘Application.
Complete all the questions in the ‘Eligibility Questions’ section.
Click ‘Next’.
In the ‘Evidence of Eligibility’ section you need to upload evidence of your full household income. Click upload and select your files for uploading. If you are providing evidence of Universal Credit, please check that you are uploading screenshots of the full statement. You can find an example here.
Click ‘Next’.
If you have any difficulties uploading your evidence, you can email the documents to studentservices@preston.ac.uk and we will upload them for you. Please note, your application will not be processed without income evidence.
Review your answers on the final page and scroll down to the bottom to read the declaration. Type your name in the signature box and then click on ‘Submit Application’.
Application Submitted After you have submitted your application, you will still be able to make any necessary changes until it has been approved by Student Services. After approval you can log in at any time to check your account and access any documents that you have been sent.
