We are delighted to announce that Preston’s College has won ‘Further Education College of the Year’ in last night’s Educate North Awards.
The prestigious awards ceremony took place on the evening of April 22nd and was hosted by Jim Hancock, a well-known broadcaster and writer.
Interim Principal, Simon Nixon says: “In the most extraordinary of years, I am thrilled to announce that Preston’s College has been named FE College of the Year. This award celebrates all of the fantastic work taking place in the sector and the ongoing contribution, progress and impact of our College community.”
“In many ways what the FE sector had been through in the past 12 months has been unprecedented and consequently to win this award is a testament to all our staff, students and stakeholders who have shown great resilience and determination.”
The college is honoured to receive this award, particularly in recognition of the strength of Further Education provision in the North of England.
Preston’s College was also shortlisted for awards in the promotion of Social Mobility, Community Excellence and Teaching and Learning Excellence for Zac Wilkinson who is a Curriculum Leader in the School of Construction and the Built Environment.
