Preston College proudly hosted its second Learner Awards evening on Monday 17 June, celebrating the exceptional achievements of our learners. The event was a night of celebration and inspiration, highlighting the hard work and dedication of our learners who have excelled, overcome their own personal challenges or barriers, and who have shown a high-level of commitment and devotion to their studies.
The evening was filled with heart-warming stories and well-deserved recognitions from tutors, managers and our employer sponsors who had nominated our most deserving learners.
Among the many highlights was the announcement of the Learner of the Year, whose exceptional journey from fleeing the Ukraine to start a new life in the UK, and the way she has done so with such dignity, bravery and resilience, hardly left a dry eye in the house.
Simon Nixon, Principal and Chief Executive, said: “This year’s Learner Awards Night was truly awe inspiring. It was incredibly moving to hear the stories of our learners’ journeys and to witness their well-deserved recognition. Our learners continue to inspire us every day with their commitment, enthusiasm, and dedication. Congratulations to all the finalists and thank you to our employer sponsors for their support in making this event a success.”
We’d also thank everyone who attended and participated, making it a memorable celebration of our learners’ accomplishments. Congratulations to all our award recipients! Your achievements inspire us all, and we look forward to continuing to support you in your education and beyond.
