Preston College is proud to continue its successful partnership with LJF Developments, welcoming another year of hard work and growth for our talented apprentices. We are excited to provide young bricklayers with valuable opportunities to hone their skills, gain hands-on experience, and make meaningful contributions to LJF Developments’ projects.
Lucas: A second-year apprentice Bricklayer is returning for his second year.
Leigh Fowler, Business Owner at LJF Developments says: “Lucas has quickly become a valued member of the LJF team. His dedication, work ethic, and passion for learning have been evident on every project he’s been a part of. Not only has Lucas developed essential skills on-site, but he also credits his apprenticeship for helping him grow personally, teaching him the importance of learning something new every day and taking pride in his work.
“We’re incredibly proud of Lucas and the progress he’s made through his apprenticeship at Preston College. He’s a pleasure to work with and continues to exceed expectations.”
Ewan: A first-year apprentice Bricklayer
“We are also excited to introduce Ewan, who has quickly settled into his role as a first-year apprentice bricklayer. Ewan has embraced every challenge, actively contributing to various tasks and projects.
Ewan says: “I really enjoy the fact we work on lots of different projects, which keeps it interesting. I feel like I’ve learned a lot already, and the team has been so supportive during my first few months here.”
Joining Ewan in the first-year apprentice cohort is Cameron, another promising addition to the team. Since starting his apprenticeship, Cameron has thrived, enjoying the variety of tasks and the camaraderie of his fellow apprentices.
Cameron says: “I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. The team have made me feel very welcome, and I chose bricklaying because I wanted to learn something new every day and do what I love.”
Leigh adds, “A special thanks to Preston College. LJF Developments remains a proud affiliate of Preston College, whose apprenticeship programme continues to bring skilled and hardworking individuals into our team.
“At LJF, we place a high value on nurturing young talent. Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to introduce fresh perspectives and new skills to the construction industry. Seeing apprentices like Lucas, Ewan, and Cameron grow into skilled, confident professionals is a proud moment for us. We’re thrilled with their progress, and we’re equally grateful to Preston College for continuing to provide us with exceptional candidates. Their hard work and commitment are essential to our success as a team.”
Mark Taylor, Director of Construction and Building Services says: “We’re grateful for the opportunity to support these talented young men on their journey, and we’re excited to see how they will continue to grow and succeed.”
