Life at College
At Preston College, we aim to make all of our learners the most employable. Whether you are joining us from school, hoping to go onto university or straight into the world of work, or are an adult, returning to study after a period of time away, with a hope of retraining or upskilling with a degree, all of our courses are designed to prepare you for life after college.
Whilst with us, you will be at the centre of everything we do. As well as ensuring you develop the right skills, and working with you to discover your endless capabilities, we will support in ensuring you get the most out of your time with us, whether be through valuable work experience opportunities or participation in a range of enrichment activities, such as The Student Council or Learner Voice groups.
As a Preston College learner, you may also have the opportunity to participate in a range of course related trips and visits, the ability to work on live briefs and projects for employers and receive real industry insight from a range of engaging guest speakers and presentations. Activities will vary, depending upon your chosen course.
We have invested heavily in our facilities, providing fantastic learning experiences, college wide, including our state of the art i-STEM Centre, purpose built workshops, fully functioning, 100 seater theatre and a discounted fitness suite and hair and beauty salon, providing the ultimate learner experience. We also offer a wide range of food outlets and even have our own Starbucks on site!
If this isn’t enough, our teaching staff are highly experienced, dedicated professionals, most of whom have extensive industry experience, so they are able to share with you details of what life in your chosen profession is really like and bring this experience to the classroom, providing dynamic and relatable sessions.
