UCLan are proud of their roots, right here in Preston, where their main campus is based. It’s been home since 1828, when the distant predecessor, the Institution for the Diffusion of Knowledge, was born. Since then, UCLan has changed names several times over, modernised, expanded and developed state-of-the-art campuses. But one thing hasn’t changed: they still offering life-changing opportunities to our students.
Gaining university status in 1992, the university has grown to become one of the UK’s largest universities, with additional campuses in Burnley (UK), Cumbria (UK) and Cyprus.
