Struggling to recruit staff with the right skills? We can help with our Sector Based Work Academies (SBWA) which are an effective way to find both part-time and full-time staff members.
Our on-site recruitment team work with local people aged 19+ who are currently out of work and can provide pre-employment training tailored to your business needs.
We will then provide you with a candidate shortlist that has the skills to make an immediate impact in the workplace.
Our Sector Based Work Academy is a free, full service recruitment solution that allows your business to hire staff against specific business needs.
1: Let us know what your business / recruitment needs are
2: Source talent from our established partners and College talent pool
3: Deliver bespoke pre-employment training around your needs
4: Improve employability skills / behaviours
5: Screen quality and competency of candidates
6: Provide your company with interviewees
7: Successful candidates are placed into work
We select talent from a range of established partners and our own talent pool, allowing us to individuals at any level, looking for a career change. We also recruit from a number of marketing initiatives that includes open events, social media engagement and digital advertising.
All candidates will be screened by Preston College during a pre-employment training scheme that is tailored to your organisation’s needs.
For example, the College would put candidates onto a ‘Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care’ course for a care organisation looking to hire support workers.
Courses can be as short as three to five days or as long as two weeks, and are run by industry experienced tutors.
If staff retention is a cause for concern, employers can work with us to look at what are the key issues and we can look at a solution.
Programmes can be delivered on-site with an employer or in a preferred location.
The service is completely free. All that we ask is for a guaranteed interview for those who complete training and interview feedback for unsuccessful candidates.
