The Preston’s College Professional Dance (PCD) learners have hit the ground running during their first week of term.
To get the year off to an inspiring start, PCD learners enjoyed a trip to Blackpool Pleasure Beach to watch the spectacular star-studded dance and ice skating show, Hot Ice, before kick-starting their classes.
During the early stages of their course, learners are taught a range of styles covered throughout the PCD programme at Preston’s College, including Commercial, Ballet, Contemporary, Tap, Musical Theatre, Jazz Technique and body conditioning.
To showcase their hard work during their first week of term, the dancers contributed to Preston’s College fun-filled Freshers’ Fair with a high tempo flash mob performance, stunning spectators with their capabilities.
Andrew Hindley, Dance Principal at Preston’s College, said: “The high level of talent from our learners has blown myself and the faculty away!
“The new intake of dance learners for the 2018/19 academic year have already demonstrated their commitment and passion to becoming the very best they can.
“I have no doubt they will continue to flourish throughout the rest of the year and really make the most of the dynamic programme we offer at Preston’s College.”
The PCD Academy has been running for over 25 years, progressing learners into industry roles worldwide.
Applications for our programme for 2019/20 open on 1st October 2018. More information about the course can be found here.
