This qualification has been designed to develop your practical skills in nail technology. You will learn how to provide manicure and pedicure treatments and how to apply and maintain nail enhancements. The course will enable you to offer your own nail treatments either in the salon or as a mobile business.
Alongside developing your practical skills you will also study the underpinning knowledge needed to work in the industry, including health and safety, client care, communication and maintaining personal health and wellbeing.

HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT?
You will taught in out bespoke nail studio at Preston College. Our highly experienced nail technician tutors will guide you through practical applications by completing demonstrations. They will also ensure that you gain good knowledge on the science behind the application, perfecting your understanding, alongside your technical skill development. You will be able to perfect your skills on fellow learners, training hands and live models.

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?
This course is designed to prepare you for employment in the nail technology industry.
Many of our learners go onto work for themselves as a mobile nail technician or within a beauty salon.
IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW?
We aim to provide an engaging and exciting programme of study.
Our enrichment programme includes internal and external competitions, guest speakers and visits to beauty and nail technology events.
You will be required to wear all black in your practical sessions, with comfortable, covered shoes.
All the equipment and products you need will be provided on the course in our well stocked salon.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
You will need to have studied and successfully completed a Level 2 in Beauty Therapy qualification.
