DIGITAL SKILLS FOR BEGINNERS

Duration: 12 weeks (Part-time)

Digital Skills for Beginners is suitable for anyone looking to gain a better understanding of using computers. The areas covered on this course  include understanding how to use basic software within an ever-changing digital world. The course is designed to build confidence in your digital skills and provide you with a basic knwoledge on which to further develop your digital skills at a higher level, if you so choose. 

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

You will learn how to:

  • Use Microsoft Office; Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Improve your typing skills
  • Gain a general understanding of Digital Skills
  • Use the Internet
  • Use file management 

HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT?

This course is classroom based and you will be taught by highly experienced tutors, all of whom have a passion for IT.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

There is no assessment or exam required with this course. Most students progress from this course to the Entry Level 3 Digital Skills qualification.

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?

On completion of the course, you may choose to progress onto the Entry Level 3 Digital Skills programme.
