CRAFT BRICKLAYER

Duration: 18 months
Level: Level 3

A Craft Bricklayer apprenticeship at Level 3 typically involves advanced training and education for individuals who want to become skilled bricklayers. Our Level 3 Brickwork Apprenticeship programme is open to individuals of all backgrounds and skill levels who are passionate about building a rewarding career in the construction industry. Whether you're just starting or seeking to advance your existing bricklaying skills, our programme is tailored to help you achieve your goals.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

Apprentices will continue to receive a combination of classroom-based instruction and practical, on-the-job training. The classroom component may cover topics such as advanced bricklaying techniques, construction regulations, and health and safety.

Apprentices at this level will learn more advanced bricklaying techniques, including working with different types of bricks and materials, complex brick patterns, arches, and other intricate aspects of the trade.

You may also be taught problem-solving skills and leadership qualities as they will be expected to take on more responsibility and potentially supervise less experienced apprentices.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

Throughout the apprenticeship, apprentices will be assessed to ensure they are meeting the required standards and progressing in their skill development.

Apprentices are also assessed via a portfolio of evidence which will be gathered in the workplace. This evidence will be used to progress learners to their End Point Assessment and be the basis of their professional discussion.

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?

Upon successful completion of the Level 3 Bricklayer apprenticeship, apprentices may receive a nationally recognised qualification or certification, which can vary by country or region.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To pursue a Level 3 Craft Bricklayer apprenticeship, you typically need to have completed a Level 2 apprenticeship or its equivalent.

Maths & English is required at Level 2/Grade 4 or above. Any learners who don’t have this will be subject to assessment and able to achieve alongside the Apprenticeship.

NOTE – learners who are enrolled to Maths and/or English alongside must pass it in order to achieve the qualification.
