WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor Level 3 apprenticeship prepares individuals with the essential skills and knowledge needed to excel in supervisory roles within warehouse environments. Throughout the apprenticeship, participants will gain hands-on experience and theoretical understanding, enabling them to effectively oversee warehouse operations, optimise workflows, coordinate teams, and ensure the smooth functioning of all aspects of the supply chain.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

The Warehouse Operations Supervisor Level 3 apprenticeship encompasses a diverse range of topics essential for effective warehouse management.

Participants will learn inventory management techniques, including inventory control, stock rotation, and replenishment strategies. They'll gain insight into logistics principles, such as transportation management, distribution, and supply chain optimisation.

Health and safety regulations specific to warehouse environments will be covered extensively to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.

Additionally, apprentices will develop leadership skills, including team management, conflict resolution, and communication strategies to effectively coordinate warehouse teams.

Operational efficiency will also be a key focus, covering areas like process improvement, resource allocation, and quality assurance measures.

Overall, this apprenticeship equips individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to supervise and optimise warehouse operations efficiently.

HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT?

Delivery for this course will 100% in the workplace. A work-based tutor from the College will be assigned to you, visiting periodically to assess your work and provide guidance as you progress through your portfolio.

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

Assessment techniques may include practical observations of your performance in the workplace, including written assignments, examinations, portfolio submissions documenting your achievements and your learning journey; and professional discussions to gauge your understanding and competence in key areas such as inventory management, logistics coordination, health and safety compliance, team leadership, and operational efficiency.

These assessments aim to ensure that you have effectively developed the skills required to excel in a supervisory role within warehouse operations.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Entry requirements fot this course is GCSE grade C/4 or willingness to work towards these grades.
