OPERATIONS/DEPARTMENTAL MANAGER

Duration: 24 Months +
Level: Level 5

This Apprenticeship is individuals who manage teams or projects and are responsible for achieving operational or departmental goals and objectives as part of their organisation’s strategy.  Key responsibilities may include creating and delivering operational plans, managing projects, leading and managing teams, managing change, financial and resource management, talent management, coaching and mentoring.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

Individuals who undertake this qualification will develop their ability to lead, motivate and inspire to drive better results.  You will use core management techniques to provide practical leadership and operational management skills as well as raise your professional profile within your organisation.

Units include: Leading People, Managing People, Building Relationships, Communication, Operational Management, Project Management, Finance, Self-Awareness, Management of Self, Problem Solving and Decision Making.

  • Synoptic End Point Assessment
  • On programme assessments
  • Written Assignments
  • Interviews/Business Cases/Reports/Witness Testimonies
  • Online Exams
  • Assessment within the workplace every six weeks
  • A review every 12 weeks

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?

On completion, you may choose to register as an Associate member with Institute of Leadership and Management, to support your professional career development and progression.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Candidates will be expected to have Maths and English and Grade C or above and be working in a role that meets the requirements for the Apprenticeship.  All candidates will have an interview and undertake an assessment before being accepted on to the Apprenticeship.
