ADVANCED BEAUTY THERAPIST

The Advanced Beauty Therapist Level 3 apprenticeship provides a comprehensive training programme for individuals aspiring to advance their skills and knowledge in the field of beauty therapy.

Through a blend of theoretical learning and practical experience, apprentices engage in advanced techniques and treatments covering a wide range of beauty services, including advanced massage techniques, technical therapies such as face and body electrical treatments. Further training in organisational operations to comply with legal and regulatory requirements, contributing to the financial effectiveness of the business, maintaining and maximising resources, (people, equipment and consumables).

They acquire expertise in areas such as client consultation, skin analysis, product knowledge, and treatment planning, ensuring they can deliver personalised and effective beauty services to clients.

The apprenticeship also emphasises professionalism, client care, and business acumen, equipping participants with the necessary skills to thrive in a competitive industry and potentially pursue entrepreneurial ventures.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

On the Advanced Beauty Therapist Level 3 apprenticeship, you'll delve into a comprehensive array of advanced beauty therapy skills and knowledge.

This includes;

Advanced consultations, design, implement and perform advances bespoke manual therapies on the face, scalp and body, advanced facial and body technical treatments (electrical and mechanical). Galvanic, Lymphatic drainage, Microcurrent, LED, High Frequency, Radio Frequency. Skin warming and faradic treatments will be included.

Provide post treatment aftercare and product advice for advanced manual and technical therapies.

Promote sales and additional services, to enhance the customer experience and overall treatment results.

Perform and implement risk assessment protocols in relation to environment, treatments and client risk.

Apply and implement organisational operations(salon business systems and processes, data protection) to comply with legal, local rules, industry requirements, treatment protocols, manufacturers' instructions and guidance.

Supervise individual and team activities and identify continual professional development.

Record, maintain and store, detailed treatment records including: personal, lifestyle, declared medical and other treatment information in accordance with legal and organisational operations.

Maintain safe and effective methods of working in accordance with organisational operations to meet legal, local rules, industry requirements, treatment protocols, manufacturers' instructions and guidance.

Apply and implement organisational operations to secure, maintain and promote business growth.

HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT?

The Advanced Beauty Therapist Level 3 apprenticeship employs a variety of teaching methods to ensure a comprehensive learning experience.

It will be a one day delivery, with a combination of underpinning knowledge, practical demonstrations and training from industry experts.

The training will take place in a bespoke skin clinic with state of the art advanced equipment provided by one of our top specialist suppliers.

You'll receive a combination of classroom-based instruction, practical hands-on training in simulated in a salon environment, and in professional beauty settings.

Classroom sessions will cover theoretical knowledge, including anatomy and physiology, skin analysis, product knowledge, and treatment techniques.

Practical training will allow you to apply these skills under the guidance of experienced tutors, honing your proficiency in advanced skincare and body treatments.

Additionally, you'll receive one-on-one guidance from industry professionals and your assigned mentor in the workplace, providing valuable insights, feedback, and support as you develop your skills.

Self-directed study, research assignments, and portfolio building may also be incorporated to reinforce learning and assess your progress.

Overall, the apprenticeship offers a dynamic and interactive learning environment that combines theory with practical application to prepare you for a successful career as an advanced beauty therapist.

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?

Completion of this apprenticeship can lead to further specialist training in aesthetics such as skin rejuvenation, skin peeling, ultra sound and skin needling.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Typical entry requirements would be following the study or completion of a Beauty Therapy Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard or equivalent to have the fundamental foundation of the job role.
