ILM LEADERSHIP & TEAM SKILLS - LEVEL 2 AWARD

Level: Level 2

This qualification is ideal for you if you wish to boost your performance as a team member or to support you in developing the knowledge and skills to make the transition from working in a team, to leading a team of individuals. If you are currently a team leader or supervisor, this course will help build your confidence and enhance your effectiveness within your role.  

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

On your course, you will learn:

Personal Management 

- effective personal time management techniques and achieving objectives

- prioritising SMART targets

- personal objectives in relation to team objectives

- stress management techniques and workplace impact

 

Leading your work team

- understanding the difference between leadership and management

- leadership styles and their effect on team performance

- the importance of leadership with a team

 

Induction and coaching in the workplace

- communication and feedback within coaching

- developing coaching strategies to enable individuals to achieve their goals

- supporting team members to develop their skills and abilities

- assessing and evaluating coaching outcomes

 

Understanding change

- internal and external factors for change

- barriers to/benefits of change in the workplace

- implementing, supporting and leading change

- maintaining cohesion during change

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

Assessment on programme will comprise of various methods that will evaluate your knowledge, skills and competencies that have been acquired throughout your programme of study including:

  • observations
  • presentations
  • assignment briefs
  • reports
  • projects
  • case studies

This qualification will enable you to progress within a variety of professional settings, whether you're taking your first steps towards a rewarding career in leadership & management or seeking to advance your existing skill set. On successful completion of this course, you may be able to progress on to one of our many other adult courses that compliment this sector, such as

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Whilst formal English qualifications are not required for direct entry on to this programme, you will need to possess proficient English skills that will enable you to fully participate in all aspects of your learning and successfully achieve your qualification. Your level of English skills will be assessed during the application process and will be determined by any previously obtained qualifications or via an English assessment, where appropriate.
