Functional Skills Maths provides the basis for effective understanding across three key subject areas. Namely, Number, Measurement, Shape and Space and Handling Data. The Functional Skill is offered from Entry Level 2 up to Level 2.

WHAT WILL I LEARN?
You will learn maths in an enjoyable way, making the subject real and relevant to everyday life. You will study:
Basic Number Skills
Measurement, Shape and Space
Handling Data
HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT?
The programme is classroom based, with two, three hour sessions per week. The final assessment/exam takes place in the final week of the course.
Upon successful completion, your options will be discussed with you.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
You will be assessed throughout the course to ensure that you are making progress and to ensure that you are ready for the end assessment, which takes place in the final week of the programme. The assessment is split into a calculator and non-calculator section.
WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?
Upon successful completion, you may be able to progress onto the next level of study. This will be discussed with you upon successful completion of the course.
