Cora’s path to success is a testament to the transformative power of education. Enrolling to Preston College 2015 to 2018, Cora found the motivation she needed to turn her life around.
Having left high school school early and with no GCSEs, Cora embraced the supportive environment at Preston College, which reignited her passion for learning. Reflecting on her experience, Cora says: “Being on campus really ignited the drive in me to learn and achieve something. The College allowed students the freedom to choose their path whilst also providing the necessary support.”
Cora was particularly inspired by the tutors in the Arts department, who played a pivotal role in her development on the Creative Media Production course. Cora says: “They simply want their students to achieve great things,” emphasising the encouragement she received throughout her journey.
“Discovering the Creative Media Production course was a game changer for me. My tutors always had faith that those on the course could be unwaveringly creative and pushed us to do our best.”
This support helped Cora not only to complete her college education, but also to pursue higher studies. Cora went on to earn a First-Class honours degree in Journalism and a Merit in a Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing.
Today, she serves as a Senior Content Executive at a search engine marketing agency, thriving in her career and grateful for the foundation that Preston College provided.
Her journey is a powerful reminder of the impact that dedicated educators and supportive learning environments can have on students’ lives. She adds: “I am very thankful for my time spent at Preston College!”
