Earlier last year it was unanimously decided to celebrate and recognise the success of the employers that we partner with through a series of awards. Following a rigorous process which saw our Heads of Schools and the Employer Relationship Team nominate businesses against a carefully drawn criteria by the Senior Management Team, the nominations were judged by Principal and CEO Dr Lis Smith, Vice Principal Mick Noblett and Head of Apprenticeships and Employer Relations, Linzi Monks. ERICWRIGHT “We nominated the Eric Wright Group due to their commitments and passion for encouraging young people into the construction industry. The Group have been instrumental in inspiring future construction trades and professionals through their commitment in the Eric Wright Learning Foundation. The Eric Wright Group have always supported Preston’s College in facilitating work placements for our learners; providing valuable experience and a pathway to employment and also providing apprenticeships directly though the supply chain. The College and the Eric Wright Group share the same values and mission of ensuring learners are employable and ready for industry whilst developing high quality technical curriculum.” Mark Taylor, Head of School for Construction and the Built Environment.
