The National Minimum apprenticeship wage, regardless of age, is £3.90 per hour (rising to £4.15 in April 2020) for the first year of their apprenticeships. Thereafter, it will rise to the National Minimum salary for their age. As an employer you can upskill your workforce through an apprenticeship. If you are a levy payer you can use the levy to pay for the training. If you are a construction business, additional grants are available through CITB of up to £8,500.
