PRESTON’S COLLEGE SUPPORTS LANCASHIRE’SMANAGERS As much of the business world adapts to new ways of working, Preston’s College are delighted to be working in partnership with Leading Lancashire, a dedicated project aiming to develop Lancashire’s workforce through training, coaching and support, allowing us to offer free management training to current and prospective managers within Lancashire based SME organisations. Qualifications available, both accredited by the highly respected Institute of Leadership and Management, include a Level 3 Award in Leadership and Management and a Level 5 Award. Both courses are delivered by highly experienced, engaging tutors, who will bring their own experiences of management to the classroom. Current employment position, previous experience, already held qualifications and career ambitions will ensure you are enrolled upon the correct level of study. Covering a wealth of invaluable topics, many highly pertinent to the current global climate, Level 3 learners can expect sessions to focus on a range of leadership styles, exploring how these can be used effectively and efficiently to lead a team. Techniques and ways to develop both new and established teams will also be explored, alongside considerations of the benefits of personal development and CPD. Ideal for those new to management, or those considering making their first steps onto the management ladder, this qualification provides essential support, skills, knowledge and confidence to anyone in the infancy of their management career. Those with some experience in management, looking to progress or develop already held skills, will find the Level 5 Award of particular interest. Offering a combination of self-reflection on own behaviours and practices, as well as an analysis of your organisation and its visions and values, the award is designed to ensure all participants gain the very best out of themselves and their staff. Successful completion of both the Level 3 and Level 5 Awards provides opportunities to progress onto the full ILM approved Certificate, also delivered at Preston’s College, at a reduced rate. Applications are now being taken for both programmes, please visit: www.preston.ac.uk/online-application/ to submit your application. *Please be aware that these sessions are only free to those who are self-employed, employed by or own qualifying SME organisations in the Lancashire region. Additional information can be provided by one of our advisers, if required. If you do not qualify for the free training, there are opportunities to study other ILM qualifications at a cost.
