The Most Issue 2
We are delighted to announce that from this new academic year a group of full time engineering learners will study mechatronics and robotics as part of their engineering course – a first for an FE college in the region! Our learners will have direct access to fifteen, brand new robots that will enhance and shape their learning experiences. With a hands on approach involving set up, programming, and maintenance, learners will develop programs for a robot to run automatically. Tasks will require learners to solve engineering based problems and set up robots to emulate modern production methods. Practical work involving maintenance and setup will explore the use of sensors and a number of control processes. With vast movement in this highly exciting sector and more and more jobs moving towards advanced engineering automation, this is just one example of how we support all of our learners in becoming the most employable!
