Preston College Adult Course Guide 2022

LIFETIME SKILLS GUARANTEE September 2020 saw the Prime Minister announce the Lifetime Skills Guarantee, meaning from April 2021, any adult aged 19 and over, living in the Lancashire region, not yet holding a full level 3 qualification (or higher) will be able to study their first eligible level 3 qualification at Preston College free of charge. Part of the wider £2.5 billion National Skills Fund, which aims to support immediate economic recovery and future skills needs post Covid-19 pandemic, by boosting the supply of skills that employers require, the Lifetime Skills Guarantee allows us to offer a range of courses to any adult meeting the above criteria. Courses on offer will develop and expand as the year progresses, however, at present, we are delighted to be able to offer: > Painting and Decorating - Level 3 NVQ Diploma > Interior Systems, Ceiling Fixing – Level 3 NVQ Diploma > Plastering – Level 3 NVQ Diploma > Trowel Occupations (Bricklaying) – Level 3 NVQ Diploma > Site Carpentry – Level 3 NVQ Diploma > Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair – Level 3 Diploma > Welding – Level 3 Diploma > Health and Social Care – Level 3 Certificate > Digital Engineering Design – Level 3 Certificate > AAT Accounting – Level 3 Advanced Diploma > Early Years Educator – Level 3 Diploma > Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools - Level 3 Diploma If you or one of your employees is able to evidence that they: > Are aged 19+ > Live in Lancashire > Do NOT currently hold a full, Level 3 qualification (or higher) All of the above courses will be FREE to study.
