ESOL AND TESOL (ENGLISH FOR SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES AND TEACHING ENGLISH TO SPEAKERS OF OTHER LANGUAGES) ESOL ESOL courses are available at every level here at Preston College, up to and including Level 2. We also have classes to develop English skills for both work and home life, alongside preparation to gain citizenship courses. Many of our courses, upon successful completion, provide recognised qualifications in reading, writing, speaking and listening. Prior to starting a course, you will be assessed to determine which level of study is right for you, to make sure you are in a class with others of a similar level and ability. There are opportunities to enrol onto ESOL courses at regular intervals throughout the year. TESOL If you are planning on travelling abroad to teach English or wish to embark on a career teaching pupils who don’t use English as a first language, the 20 week TESOL course at Preston College opens up a world of opportunities. Validated by Trinity College London, the programme provides a comprehensive introduction to the teaching of English as a second language and is often required for teaching positions overseas.
