Making the decision to retu rn to college in 2015, Lisa e nrolled upon the Level 1 Caring for Children course at Preston College . Describing this decision as a ‘mid-life crisi s’ and never really imaginin g that she would work with children, enjoyin g the course immensely, Li sa decided to progress her studies, conti nuing onto the Level 2 Chi ldren and Young People’s Workforce progra mme. As part of this one y ear course Lisa undertook a voluntary plac ement at Cottam Nursery and impressed the team so much, she was offered a full-time position within the nursery. Upon successful completio n of her Level 2 qualificatio n, Lisa commenced employment at the nursery and was abl e to progress onto the Level 3 E arly Years Educator course . Having worked at the nurs ery for five years, Lisa is no w training to be a SENDCO a nd has recently been promoted to Nursery Depu ty Manager!
