INTRODUCTION TO WEB DESIGN

Duration: 10 Weeks

Are you interested in designing and building your own website? Maybe you've started your own business and need to create a website to reach new and existing customers? Or you might even be looking to change your career into a digital marketing role and want to learn more about web design.  

This course offers an introduction on how to design and create your very own website. You'll learn the basics of web page structure, how to host and upload your website, all whilst creating a website designed by you, for everyone to see and use. 

No prior experience is needed as you'll learn the basics whilst doing this course. 

WHAT WILL I LEARN?

As part of this course you will learn: 

  • Introduction to HTML
  • Basic HTML structure
  • Creating a basic website
  • Adding images and sounds
  • Introduction to CSS
  • Using CSS Classes and ID’s
  • Using CSS positioning 
  • Using Bootstrap
  • Choosing a domain name
  • Choosing hosting
  • Uploading your website

HOW WILL I BE TAUGHT?

This course will be delivered in a classroom over a 10 week period, 2 hours per week. 

HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?

As part of this course, you will get the opportunity to develop and build your own website, which will be used to assess your progress. 

WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?

There are no formal requirements, however we would recommend a keen interest in the subject.
