In many ways it feels like I’ve come home; growing up in neighbouring Leyland before settling in Yorkshire and now returning to Lancashire and the city of Preston. I am excited to be joining Preston’s College after 20 successful years in the sector relentlessly focussing on the role and value of further education and the power it has to transform lives and communities. I am looking forward to getting to know you as business owners, employers, employees, parents/carers and learners, and to work together to make a real and lasting impact on the local community in which we share, work and reside in. The relationships that we continue to build will be vital to our combined success and from my initial meetings with the college teams, I know that they will work hard to develop these relationships with you, as we collectively strive to provide the best possible experience for you and our learners. Our most recent issue of The Most magazine created with and for employers is a real celebration of the college, our employer partnerships and our learners and it’s been wonderful to read of the many success stories even in the most challenging of times.
