EMPLOYER INCENTIVES: HIRING A NEW APPRENTICE Hiring an apprentice to your organisation can give you that extra pair of hands; new ideas will be injected into your business; modern, fresh ways of looking at delivering tasks and projects can be applied; a dedicated and committed member of staff could be the cornerstone of your team and what’s more… Hire a brand new apprentice between April 1st 2021 – September 30th 2021 inclusive and receive up to a £3,000: > £4,000* for hiring a 16-18 year old (19+ with EHCP) > £3,000 for hiring a 19+ year old apprentice * includes the current £1,000 incentive for hiring a 16-18 year old To be eligible, apprentices must: > Be a new employee to the business > Have a contract of employment start date between 1 April 2021 and 30 September 2021 > Not have been employed by the employer within the six months prior to the contract start date Furthermore, > Work in partnership with us – The ‘FE College of the Year’* > Choose from our talent bank of applicants ready and waiting > Be assigned a dedicated Apprenticeship Specialist > Receive £1000 for each returning furloughed apprentice To find out more contact Daniel Crumblehulme: T: 01772 225743 M: 07971511537 E: dcrumblehulme@preston.ac.uk *Educate North Awards 2020 DIGITAL ACCOUNT SUPPORT If you are an SME and would like to benefit from the employer incentives you will be required to set up a Government Apprenticeship Account where your incentive payments will be available. Our team can talk you through this and even help you set up your account. DAS SET UP - To create an account to manage apprenticeships, you can visit the .gov website You will need to create or sign in to an apprenticeship account, it’s really simple and once you’ve set up an account you’ll be able to get your funding to pay for apprenticeship training and assessment costs. You’ll use your account to: > Get apprenticeship funding > Find and save apprenticeships > Recruit apprentices > Find, save and manage training providers > Add and manage apprenticeships Levy paying employers will already have a designated Digital Apprenticeship Account.
